Our facility is available to rent outside of hours of operation and is a great venue for birthday parties, graduation celebrations, and meetings! The fee is $50 per 3 hour block of time and may be free of charge for certain public events. We require at least two weeks advanced notice for facility rentals and booking. If you want alcohol at your event you must submit a separate request directly to Joy.M.Connors@uscg.mil so she can have our Commanding Officer approve it.
Amanda was inspired early on to work with children after volunteering as a TA for a Kindergarten class during her middle school education. She joined Youth Services as an intermittent summer camp counselor and worked her way up to the YS Director role. She is passionate about nature and animals, and enjoys exploring and learning about the natural world with our BGC members.
Joshua has worked on base for the past 6 years and grew up as a military kid. He has worked with every age group on base, taught swim lessons, and coached the first ever youth basketball league on base. He loves being active with the kids and really playing on their level. Fun fact about Josh: he played 2 years of college basketball and Pro-Am basketball!
Tara graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management and has been working with after-school and summer camp programs for the past 10 years. Before leaving the East Coast she directed her own summer camp, supervising 50 kids and 12 staff. She loves being outdoors and creating fun programs for kids!
Jamie is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's in Recreation Management. She moved from NC to CA in August 2018 and has loved leading the Boys & Girls Club ever since. Her favorite activities are hiking, swimming, and playing games outside with the kids.
TRACEN Petaluma's youth and teen program is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of America and provides structured, supervised activities for the school aged kids of the base. During the school year, our afterschool program for Kindergarten through 6th graders runs Monday through Friday, and our teens have their own time on Mondays and Friday evenings.
In addition, our program provides camps during school breaks and summertime (concurrent with the Two Rock Union School District calendar), and provides activities on early release days from Two Rock! Our dedicated staff also plans Breakfast with Santa, an Easter event, the annual Halloween Carnival, and many other fun things!
