The Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful part of the TRACEN property and features a 5 acre lake with

catch-and-release fishing (no swimming), walking paths, picnic areas, a playground, canoes and kayaks (for on base use only), horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, a large pavilion with ample covered seating and a very large open charcoal grill.  To use the pavilion a reservation is required, please submit a 'Facilities Request Form'. We have a great program for loaning out recreation equipment so you can explore our beautiful Northern California scenery. Equipment such as bicycles, coolers, golf clubs, lanterns, sleeping bags, tents and two burner stoves can be rented from the gym. All equipment must remain within TRACEN Petaluma and cannot leave the base.

Call the gym for more details at 707.765.7348.

We have 6 RV/Trailer sites with electric, HD cable and water hookups.  The entire campground facility has WiFi. To receive HD cable stop by the Ticket, Lodging and Reservation office to pick up a cable box to connect to your TV. Sites do not have sewer, but there is a sewage dump station located on base next to the water treatment facility.  Rates are currently $40/night for Active Duty E1-E6, $45/night for Active Duty: E7-E9, CWO1-CWO3, O1-O3, $50/night for Active Duty CWO4, O4 and Retirees. Civilian guests are $60/night.

Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after continuously.

Properly restrained dogs are allowed but horses are not.

We are happy you are choosing to book TRACEN Petaluma RV Campground. With our few spaces, and our many requests, we unfortunately have to let customers know we are full. Since many customers do not get a booking, we have to ensure booked spaces are honored. We understand plans change and cancellations need to happen, but to be fair to other customers who did not get a booking our cancellation policy is as follows:

Cancellations must be made by 4 days from check in date for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs less than 4 days before check in, you will receive a refund, less a two-day charge.

If you have booked multiple days and wish to cancel days after check in, there will be up to a two day charge, plus the days of actual stay. Any days after two days will be fully refunded.

Maximum 14 days per reservation with a minimum 7 day break.

Maximum stay is 45 days within a one year period.

*Personnel reporting to and departing the base can stay an additional day at a time depending on space available.

Patrons coming to or departing from the base for PCS reasons are not required to break their stay for 7 days.

Subject to prior approval from the MWR Director.

All adults must have a valid ID to enter the front gate and drivers must have valid registration and insurance. If your ID states 'Federal Limits Apply' you can only access the base as a sponsored guest and must show a second form of federally recognized ID. The "MWR Base Access & Sponsorship Policy" below has examples of acceptable ID's and additional information.  Foreign nationals must be vetted at least 30 days in advance or they will not be allowed on-board.

RV campers must check in at the Front Gate when entering the base. Upon check-in you will receive a placard which must remain visibly displayed at all times.
